Emotional Freedom Technique
(EFT), is a combination of acpuncture (without needles), kinesiology and psychology.
Using a form of acupressure (usually tapping), the energy meridian points of the body are stimulated while simultaneously applying cognitive focus to the presenting problem or symptom.
Berkhamsted Clinic of Hypnotherapy & Holistic Practices have offered this popular energy psychology since 1999.
During this time, EFT has proven to be an exceptionally successful method of releasing trapped emotion which may be causing distress or behavioural
dysfunction. In addition to releasing negative emotions and
behaviours, clients regularly report a reduction or removal of physical symptoms as a result of practising
EFT. |

| Reiki |
Reiki is thought to have originated in Tibet and translates as "universal life force".
Reiki is a gentle procedure which utilises the energy which flows through all living things and is based on similar principles to Acupuncture, Acupressure, EFT and Qi Gong.
Many cultures have, since ancient times, believed that a blockage or imbalance in one's energy system can create physical ailment or emotional disturbance and that stagnation of energy within the body can result in disease.
It is thought
that, once the 'life force' can flow freely again, the body can begin to repair itself.
During a Reiki session the client remains fully clothed as the Reiki Practitioner moves their hands over and around the client's body freeing up energy flow in a gentle, natural way.

Gong |
Qi Gong translates as "energy work".
Part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong, a set of gentle movements believed to increase the body's flow of vital energy (Qi), has been around for thousands of years and uses the same concept of the Meridian System as Acupuncture and Shiatsu.
Qi Gong forms are easy to learn and can be practised when standing, moving, sitting and lying down.
Berkhamsted Clinic of Hypnotherapy & Holistic Practices may, where appropriate, incorporate Qi Gong movement as part of a
client's self management programme or may recommend an external qualified instructor to clients wishing to explore this very gentle, beneficial exercise further.
